Pacific Northwest Economic Forum

The “Annual Pacific Northwest Economic Forecast” program for supply chain management professionals will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007, at the Coast Bellevue Hotel.

Please join your local APICS and NAPM chapters, along with a panel of local experts, to recap the region's economic activity in 2006, and to look at what is on the horizon for 2007.

Panelists

  • Drew DeSilver, Seattle Times - Drew writes about the Pacific Northwest economy, the stock market, and public-company issues for The Seattle Times. He’s a native of Connecticut and has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northwestern University.
  • George Erb, Puget Sound Business Journal - Since 1983, George has been a reporter and editor at weekly and daily newspapers in Washington. He is a past chapter president for the Society of Professional Journalists and a trustee for the Washington Coalition for Open Government.
  • Michael J. Parks, Marple's Letter - A native of Spokane, Michael is a journalism graduate of Seattle University, and an alumnus of the University of Washington’s School of Communications. He has been studying, writing about and speaking about the economy and companies of the Pacific Northwest for more than 30 years.
  • Sam Kaplan, Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle - As Vice President for the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle, Sam assists with the strategic management of the organization. He is also responsible for producing marketing materials, including brochures, videos and other presentations.
  • Clayton Park, King County Journal - A Seattle native who began his journalism career in 1984, editing a succession of community newspapers. In 1997 he became business editor of the King County Journal in Bellevue.
