June 13, 2007 PDM - How to Drive Business Strategy Through Project Planning

In today’s world, continued business success often hinges on adopting the right techniques and tools to manage a wide range of project priorities – among multiple initiatives and multiple teams of dispersed resources.

What’s more, it’s important to have a fast and flexible process in place that tracks project performance, and greatly simplifies project prioritization to the company’s strategic objectives.

Program Overview

You know how it is… everywhere you turn you see people in your organization busily working on different projects and initiatives. But, how do you know people are working on the most important activities? How do you know key issues are being resolved in a timely manner? How do you know which resources are getting stretched too thin? How do you know which project schedules are at risk?

Chances are the continued success of your business hinges on using effective techniques and tools to manage a wide range of project activities – among multiple initiatives and multiple teams. What’s more, it’s critical to have a process in place that keeps project prioritization closely aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.

To stay-in-the-game in today’s business arena, organizations need flexible approaches that “match tools and techniques to the task” in managing projects. Thanks in large part to recent advances in web technologies, businesses can now use inexpensive and simple-to-deploy project management solutions – especially in dealing with dispersed workgroups and stakeholders that want easy-to-administer levels of project access.

Our June 13th event will present a framework to link project and strategies, along with tools and techniques to right-size project management solutions to your organization. The skill and know-how you’ll gain includes:

  • Streamlining prioritization across multiple projects and initiatives
  • Tracking project performance with quick and simple metrics
  • Organizing online workplaces for dispersed team members
  • Providing project visibility to key stakeholders with secure online tools
